President Richard Soo of Bukit Bintang Malaysia was recently adopted by the Rotary Club of Dagupan as its Honorary Member. In a twist of fate, the City Council of Dagupan also has unanimously adopted Richard Soo as an Honorary Son of Dagupan two days before the Rotary made such move. Richard Soo on the occassion of the Induction and Turn over last July2006 of the RCD at Leisure Coast gave 100thousand pesos to RCD thru the Rotary Club of Makati and Robert Kuan to repair and renovate a building at Pugaro Suit Elementary School.


Last Oct4, during one of the regular meeting of RC Dagupan where Soo attended, President Richard was so touched with the accomplishment report that the building he funded for renovation and repair was already scheduled for turnover on Oct12. He commented that RC Dagupan is one of the fastest implementors of donated project in his experience. When he learned that the project exceeded the 100thousand he earmarked, President Jess Romero and Secretary Edwin Aguirre reported that President Richard has pledged another 1thousand US Dollar.
